Mathias Luderer
Individuals with ADHD are significantly more likely to develop alcohol use disorders (AUD) than those without. Yet, ADHD often goes undiagnosed during addiction treatment. This talk briefly explores the underlying reasons for this high co-occurrence, emphasizing the need for routine ADHD screening in this population. Furthermore, it outlines practical diagnostic pathways for implementation in clinical settings and discusses treatment strategies designed to maximize benefits while minimizing potential adverse effects for individuals with both ADHD and AUD.
Moderated by Sara Rolando (EMDAS Teacher)
